Blue's Adventures

Late at night on June 25th, Nycon and I completed 9-2. Aegresco mentioned it on QCDN and we signed up (surprisingly, QCDN is actually good for something). All-in-all, since there is really nothing to report on, it went insanely smooth, with nary a death (except for one time when a certain somebody had to tell me that sleep wore off after I saw 'The Orcish Blahargagh is no longer slept' about 6 times in a row). Prince Trion didn't even lose 1% HP.

I'm one of those kinds of people that quests the AF, no matter how useless it may be. So I quested and hunted for coffers because I'm scared of Mimics.... No spoilers for this entry.

AF 2 was the Rogue's Armlets. Lecreuset helped me for a whopping hour (well, it was a long time with TH4...), and then went along and found the coffer for me.

I buttered up Nycon to help me go fight Dark Spark, and while we were up there, we might as well hunt my Zvahl coffer key :).

After that, I attempted to solo my Castle Oztroja coffer, but then some irl stuff came up, so I logged out for a few hours. When I came back, a THF (Lechero) and a BRD (Kudo) were by me and invited me to team up. How sweet of them to help me get a coffer key :) Well, they hunted for Tornado, so I stuck around for that (my Silence was a blessing, I guess lol), but after about 45 minutes of only Aero IV dropping, we left.

I solo'd my entire Rogue's Bonnet Quest. I only needed two Salts, two Greens, and two Eggs. Then the next morning, I attempted to fight the NM. Although she had pretty low evasion (to my Axe skill), she hit pretty hard, so I went to town to switch to SMN. Plus, I was subbing THF, and was only wearing Thick Gear, my Maneater, and a Numinous Shield. Fffff CourierCarrie lol.

But it's kind of a funny cutscene afterwards, not the story itself, but the fact that Goblins are talking about love.

Went to Castle Zvahl Baileys, two-boxing Nycon as my sacrificial guinea pig (♥), found the coffer in the first place I looked:

Then we went to Oztroja, and luckily for anyone under lv60, the coffer was behind the locked door :). So I parked Nycon's cute tush at the door and opened the door on Bluefrost.

I kept him away 'cause I'm tired of the spam Brogame tells...
and now the Culottes are mine :).

Spyo/Tsurael & Bluefrost/Nycon (2 people 4 characters lol) helped with my Rogue's Poulaines (I don't have them right now). I told Spyo that I was going to voke it, but if I didn't, he had to claim with Shield Bash. So I started the cutscene to pop Chandelier, and it took forever for him to pop. So I had my screen up, waiting for the NM to pop, and wasn't paying attention to Nycon's. After about 5 seconds, Chandelier finally popped, and started to Self-Destruct, and I stood there like an idiot, and I was like "For surely, I am in death's cold grip" and then Hero Spyo saved the day by bashing his face.

On Saturday, I woke up in a sour mood, mostly because I am a woman (I got a free pass to bitchiness in the mail on my 18th birthday), but there were a plethora of other reasons. We were getting ready to go do some Dynamis Windurst, which was the only Dynamis that I never got anything out of, so I geared up my Bard and put BLM on first lot and BST on second.

The first warning sign that it wasn't going to be that normal of a day was when Nycon, as usual, was outlotted by someone and then they passed it to him because it was announced that 'Nycon never wins anything'.

Even though Mr. Stubborn Nycon also has FFXI on his computer, he chose not to log in because Xbox was doing a maintenance. So (yes I am very mad at him!) he couldn't have fun with me in Dynamis San d'Oria. :(

But luckily, everyone else can. And if you see Nycon reading this journal entry, poke him on his side or belly, repeatedly. Tickling works too if your poking seems to have no effect. He has a high Counter rate, so please take care. :(

I finally got my Sorcerer's Coat in Beaucedine on the 9th.


Tonight we'll be doing Dynamis-San d'Oria. Hopefully I'll get my Bard Hat. I'm really enjoying Dynamis. Except when I come WHM.

Don't get me wrong, I love WHM to death. As much as I'll threaten I'll retire it, drop everything onto my mule and deactivate it, delevel it to 64, in the end, I really do love White Mage. What I don't love about it: The fact that everyone else is too good/busy to level it and makes me do it. I've got more than 5 jobs at 75. Why do I always have to come WHM? All I have to do is say "Hi" to my shell, and one of the leaders will automatically say "Bluefrost, come WHM." -_-;

There is this Paladin in my shell who obtained a very (rare) sought-after piece, and sent a /tell to Nycon "Aren't you sooooooooooooooo jealous?" after he outlotted him. What kind of BS is that? As immature as it may sound, it made me rethink how much I wanted to keep this tank alive.

Ok, so I was taking a look at the gear that Nycon wears in Altana Viewer, and this is what came up.

After we celebrated with his family, we came back home to get ready for Limbus, since we were doing an Omega, and he was up for Legs.

Not sure if I was being stubborn, lazy, cheap, or didn't want to deal with idiots in that final stretch, but I finally got 75RNG this morning doing absolutely nothing but campaigns. I got one upgraded medal, hundreds of fletchings and lumber and bullets and firesands, and my 8th 75.

No I am not going for a Maat's cap.

Finally got Decimation (really had the Annals of Truth since January)

What's a good BCNM? One that generally uses few people, doesn't have to be a great drop rate, as you can see, I have a lot to spare. (I prefer Copycat KSNMs)

I know that I'm lazy to post, but the next few weeks, I'm going to be posting a lot, just because these pictures on my computer are taking way too much disk space.



Once upon a time, long, long ago, there was a Prince named Nycon who said "Hey I wanna level SAM."

He leveled up his Samurai, and frequently requested his White Mage lover to powerlevel him throughout the levels during the Stupid Ages (commonly known as Valkurm Dunes Epoch) and the Dumb Ages (commonly known as the Qufim Era).

He grew up and got stronger and stronger and learned how to hold his weapon, also known as a "Great Katana", more appropriately. He sliced thru Mandragora, Bees, Ochus, Goblins, and Leeches with the greatest of ease.

"I do so enjoy partaking in the leisure of being a Japanese Samurai!," he would regularly proclaim. His lover was happy.

Nycon placed his right foot on the carcass of a beetle and exclaimed, "Hark! There is a Great Katana that I must quest for, in order to become one of the mighty Demon slayers of the land! Wouldst thou help me, fair maiden!?"

"Of course, my lover, of course," she replied.

Off he runs quickly to Norg to hear more details about the quest for the sub-par sword, and then across the lands to the Nation of the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah. Retrieving a Sack of Fish Bait that he had murdered a lowly Goblin Robber for, he lured a Pugil from the depths of the beautiful aquamarine lakes of the Nation of the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah.



Quickly, he and his lover smote the mighty beast, and he ripped off crystal-colored scales from its dead, cold body. He returned to Norg to reward the quest-giver for helping him, and he coincidentally received his beautifully crafted Magoroku.

So right now, I'm at work, and Nycon decided to log in on my account. We had logged out earlier because too many people were camping V.E. and he had to do some real life things, so we just logged out around 12:30.

Nycon bought me a Wind Torque which was really sweet (& cunning) of him. I tested it out in a Nyzul > Bhaflau party, and my elegy was sticking more often than before. My Lullaby doesn't seem to want to improve accuracy though. Anyway, I'm either never partying without Nycon again, or I'm never partying without a warrior. I thought I was a bad puller last time, but last time we had no vokes; this time we had 2 (Teruko too). So that was good, it made me want to pull faster. Oh yes, and we had a competent RDM who realized that if I wasn't capable of sleeping the links, he would do it. We were averaging 20k per hour, and I was in the party for about 90 minutes.

Let's see here, what else... we did a Dynamis Sandy & Beaucedine with Perseus. I got Summoner's Pigaches and Monster Trousers, both freelot, but was hoping for a BRD hat. No mushrooms :(. I didn't get anything from Beaucedine, but Willian did get the 100coin. Is it me or do SCH, PUP, and DNC drop a lot?

We did an Omega run (early) Sunday morning, and Nycon was up for legs. And 2 eyes dropped, blahhhh.... went free-lot.

Got my Ranger up to 72, and now I can equip my Scout's legs. I leveled up my Archery in my party last night. Hmm... that's about it for an update.

We had done an Omega run on Saturday (technically it was Sunday, but who cares)


I finally got my Homam Gambieras. :)

We may have lost, but I really don't think it went as horribly as it could have.

Last Saturday we did a Dynamis Beaucedine. The Briault was the first thing to drop, and I was lotting against another white mage in the shell.

So I'm 3/5 WHM Relic. /joy

I wanted to Fraps Sandy 9-2, but my Fraps crashed just as Nycon popped Nio-A & B. I managed to log in just as it was at 1/2 life.



Also, I got my Selene's bow with the help of Nycon and Shmedly and Beldy :)

I'm 1/2, it was a super duper easy peasy fight.

On Easter morning, Nycon logged in and told me Shmedly needed help (or didn't, but who doesn't wanna help friends anyway?) to camp Simurgh. While Lecreuset, Kelandra, Shmedly (& Glob) and Nycon were at Simurgh's pop, Beldy and I were on our way. Just as I had zoned into Rolanberry, it popped, and I'm not sure who claimed it, but Lec had died, and Kelandra was dying. Nycon managed to engage but Simmy Lullaby'd him, and the competition, a PLD/BLM, managed to Flash it and pull it down. He was doing well initially, but I guess he didn't have enough backup (I think just a RDM support), so then he bit it. I pulled hate because I was casting spells on Nycon (I guess he had party hate), and I died, but someone had claimed Simmy! LOL and we killed it raged, too!

Beldy needed ZM4 for a long time, so on Easter night, we spent hours upon hours fighting Tonberries for Unlit Lanterns. We went through Den of Rancor with no aggro, and no one got lost (wow, a first). So, blah blah blah, we went in




I swear, I didn't even see Garuda get summoned while I was fighting it. But whatever, we broke the time record, etc. I don't know what else to put here.

Oh yes, we did Dynamis-San for farming, and I got RNG pants and WHM hat. (*'-')~ But unfortunately, I wanted 1 BRD and 2 SMN.

Nycon found us a Dynamis shell named Perseus, and the leader is Corvinus. They run on Tuesdays and Saturdays. I actually like Dynamis, it's just the past few shells have pissed me off. But this shell is really nice; I get to lot on pieces instead of jobs. Like, if I choose WHM and BLM drops in Dynamis-Jeuno, I can choose RNG and BRD in San d'Oria. Anyway we did Dynamis Windurst last tuesday. With the exception of a big juicy wipe, I have to say, these people are pretty good.

Unfortunately, nothing really dropped, except for Mirage something and Samurai something. So that's about it.

So I'm back after a 2 month hiatus. Already, I've done many things, and plan to do many things in the near future.

We got Nycon rank 8 (Woot!)

7-2 San d'Oria involves an Orc fight with 2 Warmachines, a DRG (& wyvern), a PLD, and a RNG orc. We met this 62SAM while doing it, and without his help, I'm sure we couldn't have survived. So thanks to Hirokai :).

A day later we did 8-1. I really don't remember that being so difficult, but I think it's the fact that we just have to duo everything. For this one, you have to fight some Mantas, but if you just fight one, soon enough the 2nd will depop. The one we fought, Honor, was some WHM type that had Silencega and Paralyga, and its two hour was Invincible.

I'm not sure if I like Esuna and the other spells we got in this update. I haven't gotten any en-II spells. I hate RDM and everything about it.

There's more that I need to update, but I need to space it out, especially when I go months without posting lol. I hope everyone has a healthy and happy Easter/Passover holiday. :)

On December 13, Nycon, Beldy and I wanted to try Royal Jelly BCNM because Beldy wanted Utsusemi:Ni. So we rolled, and Nycon went in first. Then I went in second. DING! Hell yes, we got a scroll! Sold it to Beldy for 125k..., he wanted to pay me more, but I didn't want to take more. Only took the money because I was gonna buy Nycon a Hauberk+1 with the gil, which I got on Christmas day.

My little project for the past two months was to level up Nycon's WHM to 37. Since I was still in school at the time (the rest of the Fall 2008 semester, and then Winterim session), Nycon kind of didn't let me play on the weekdays.

We were looking for a chest in Fei'yin, and found this little gem of an NM.

I didn't know what it was, only that it was an NM. Nycon freaked out, and screamed "Buff us!", but it was a pussy of an NM.

Saturday I logged in and Xalo told me Ungur was up, and Friskie and Xalo got it to 25% before wiping. So I gathered my Warrior gear and my accessories (which means my bard Bluefrost!) and we fought us some Ungur.



Boomerang is 100% drop, but it was fun to fight Ungur. I don't usually fight NMs. Then we did some Campaigns and stuff.

I dragged Bluefrost along to do a Limbus, and she came on her BLM for once. We had the perfect amount of coins for me to upgrade my PLD feet into Gallant Leggings +1


I also snuck on Blue's char and got her Loquacious Earring. I'm sneaky. Early christmas present maybe ;)

On November 16, I did a Limbus run with my shell Eternus.

Nycon went to visit his family up north from November 6th to the 9th. Before he left, he told me I never make him food, (how rude!), so I flooded his Delivery box with Hedgehog Pies and Meat Chiefkabobs. And he ate one for Limbus. This made me Happy +2. That'll teach him to not appreciate my not making him food!





I got the drops to update my BRD, BST, and my 7COR >_>.

When playing BST, I meet a lot of people. You would think I didn't, because I solo 95% of the time, but people are always curious. Like holy hell, man, the game's been out for what, six years?!

And then sometimes I see NMs on my widescan and help people out.


Nycon and tried to duo his BST, which went from 7 to 11 on Friday.

I had been doing campaigns on Tuesday afternoon, and saw this Elvaan BLM who was pretty much tanking an Orc in Batallia [S]. I tossed her a few cures and blah blah blah, saw her a few times in some more Campaigns, and then we both ended up in Rolan [S]. We were waiting for more people to show up as the Quadav attacked the base. She said she could solo one, so I told her I could Charm the Quadav to bind it so she could get some distance if she couldn't sleep it. So we proceeded to kill just one Quadav. Thunder 4, Charm, Sleep, rinse repeat.


We didn't even kill one and we lost the campaign.
